BRUSSELS, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The Eurogroup discussion on Greece bailout program is positive, and an agreement should be reached on June 21 to ensure a successful conclusion to the program this August, an EU official said Thursday.
"Encouraged by determination around the table to reach an agreement on June 21 on ALL strands that must come together to ensure a successful conclusion to the program this August," tweeted Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs.
Greece's economic adjustment program is now under its fourth and final review, on which Greece and its international creditors reached a staff-level agreement last week.
The program's formal expiry date is on Aug. 20, 2018. The focus is now on Greece's successful implementation of the agreed reforms, ahead of the June Eurogroup meeting.
