BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- India's Manu Bhaker clinched India's third Youth Olympics medal in as many days by winning the girls' 10m air pistol event in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old led from the outset and finished with a 236.5 points, six tenths of a point ahead of Russia's Iana Enina. Georgia's Nino Khutsiberidze claimed bronze with an overall score of 214.6 points.

"I didn't feel anything in particular throughout the competition," said Bhaker, who also won gold medals at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup and Commonwealth Games this year.

"I was just thinking of taking each shot at a time and I wasn't even looking at the screen. Then all of a sudden it was all over and I said, 'Oh my God, I won it.' It feels great."

Bhaker's success follows silver medals from her compatriots Shahu Tushar Mane and Mehuli Ghosh in the 10m air rifle boys' and girls' events in the first two days.

"I don't think there is a secret for the India shooting national team's success here in Buenos Aires," Bhaker said. "I think it's just the result of our hard work."

Enina, who improved as the competition progressed, had warm words of praise for Bhaker.

"We know each other well and we competed in different competitions. She is a fantastic shooter and deserved to win today," she said.

"At one point when I was facing early elimination I said to myself, 'Get your act together. Get a grip and do what you know best,' and things improved from there."

Thailand's Kanyakorn Hirunphoem was fourth with a score of 194.3 and Slovenia's Anja Prezelj fifth with 173.5. China's Lu Kaiman finished sixth with an overall tally of 153.0.?
