BUDAPEST, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The world's second, and Europe's first Hun museum is going to be built in Kunszentmiklos, central Hungary, according to official sources here on Tuesday.

"A Hungarian version of the Xiongnu (also known as the Hun tribes) museum of Hohhot, China, is going to be set up in Kunszentmiklos," the official journal of the department of the city of Kunszentmiklos declared.

"The second such cultural institution of the world will be set up in the building of the Viragh mansion," the journal added.

As part of the preparatory work, the city tries to promote the lifestyles the Hun conquerors with the help of regular programs. One invited professional lecturer per month will be able to present the topics to the public.

Some of the exhibition material of the planned Kunszentmiklos Museum can be already seen in Ozd, eastern Hungary, and the rest of the exhibition will be purchased soon, according to the announcement.

The transformation of the Viragh mansion into a museum is going to start in the spring, with the help of substantial state subsidies.

The first museum on Xiongnu opened in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in August 2017.

The Xiongnu, a nomadic tribe, emerged in the third century BC, and had a huge impact on the history of China and the world.
